As a luxury travel writer, I have the opportunity to visit a lot of hotels and experience a lot of different hotel brands, all around the world. The Dorchester Collection, with ten truly iconic properties, constantly impresses me with the unequaled level of luxury and service they offer at each and every one of their hotels. I had a wonderful opportunity to join Christopher Cowdray, the CEO of the Dorchester Collection, along with several other of the brand’s key executives for lunch at the Polo Lounge at The Beverly Hills Hotel, of course a Dorchester Collection property.

We dined in a beautiful private dining room inside the Polo Lounge of The Beverly Hills Hotel. I have been fortunate enough to spend time at the hotel and it’s one of my favorites, as it has been for many guests since opening in 1912. I’ve also been fortunate enough to spend time at Hotel Bel-AirLe Meurice in Paris, Hotel Eden in Rome and both The Dorchester and 45 Park Lane in London. All these amazing Dorchester Collection properties deliver the ultimate guest experience, the world’s best food, attentive, personal service, the best locations and the ultimate in luxury surroundings and accommodations.

The menu for our delicious lunch

Lunch featured some of the Polo Lounge’s delicious specialties, including a delightful mini version of their delicious McCarthy Salad and Steak Frites with a perfectly grilled hanger steak. We finished off the meal with chocolate souffles. Service was truly amazing, as a team of waiters presented all of us at the lunch with each course of the meal, simultaneously. It reminded me of the royal level of guest service found at Dorchester Collection properties.
