One of my favorite hotels in California is the magnificent Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, perched above the Pacific, just south of San Francisco. With classic style outside and modern luxury inside, the resort is perfect for weekend getaways. Now guests can take advantage of the hotel’s proximity to great Napa Valley wine with their new weekend wine package, Friday Night Flights. The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay is inviting guests to start the weekend early and enjoy a little rest and relaxation along the northern California coast with Friday Night Flights.
Friday Night Flights is an overnight package that includes Coastal View accommodations, a $300 Spa Credit, a cheese and charcuterie plate and a flight of wine for two in ENO, resort fee and overnight valet parking. It is available through September 24, 2015, must be booked on a Friday night and rates start at $895 per night.
The Ritz-Carton Spa offers a lavish setting to indulge in total mind, body and spirit rejuvenation. Guests can enjoy signature face and body treatments, including the Pumpkin Body Peel, inspired by Half Moon Bay’s location in the ‘Pumpkin Capital of the World’ or the Japanese Facial, a treatment that draws upon centuries of ancient beauty secrets to achieve glowing, beautiful skin.
Guests will enjoy sipping wine and savoring locally sourced cheese and charcuterie in ENO, the resort’s custom-built wine room. ENO’s Sommeliers specialize in introducing guests to interesting new wines and in providing education on every aspect of the wines.
A stay at the resort would not be complete without dinner in Navio, boasting exceptional seafood dishes and a comfortable California-inspired design. Combining subtle sea flavors with fresh textures and light savory accompaniments, Chef Kevin Tanaka’s cuisine highlights approachable flavors that reference the best of coastal dining from all around the world.
At the end of the day, guests can enjoy the sweet sounds of the bagpiper serenading the end of the day as the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean as they cozy up to the outdoor fire pits on The Ocean Terrace with wine and a blanket or a mug of steaming hot cocoa and a decadent s’more.
