One of my favorite aspects to being a travel writer are media trips where I get to travel to interesting places and do very interesting things. One of my favorite aspects to those media trips is meeting other travel writers and sharing those new experiences with them. While different and individual in our own ways, we all seem to share a love of visiting new places and the ability to share those experiences with our readers.
While in Istanbul on an adventure with Turkish Airlines, I met the wonderful Marybeth Bond. A National Geographic author, blogger, contributor to The New York Times, LA Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, Elle, Cosmopolitan, More Magazine, and more. She founded the travel blog GutsyTraveler and is the global correspondent for ontravel radio, with an audience in over 100 cities worldwide. Aside from all that, Marybeth is also the author of 12 award-winning books include 50 Best Girlfriend Getaways in North America, A Woman’s World and Gutsy Women, which landed her on The Oprah Winfrey Show talking about travel for women.
I am fortunate enough to be able to share one of Marybeth’s articles with my readers, a great one about three of Southern California’s most luxurious oceanfront destinations: Soak, Sip, Sleep: Southern California’s Most Romantic Ocean View Resorts.
