2016 Lexus LS 600h L
The car is stylish and has a strong presence

If you’ve got an extra $140K sitting around and want to get yourself a Japanese Bentley, the incredible 2016 Lexus LS 600h L is a great option. For about $65K less than the cheapest Flying Spur, I think you get a better car, with more features and better reliability.

I spent a week in this amazing car and it’s one of the few cars I get to review that I really wanted to keep. It was such a pleasure to open that solid door and slide into the big, Analine leather seat every time I found a reason to drive it. And it wasn’t until the last day of my time with it that I discovered the amazing back seat.

Enjoying the Executive-Class seating option

The test car had the $7,500 optional Executive-Class rear seat, which offers a real limo experience. The L in the 600h L means it has an extended wheel-base and the Executive seating option gives you two reclining rear seats and a beautiful center console, along with an HD monitor and DVD player. Both seats have a vibration option and one reclines almost fully, has a Shiatsu massaging function and an extending ottoman.

The LS 600 looks right at home at the luxurious Hotel Bel-air

To give the LS 600 a proper driving test, I first took it for lunch at the beautiful Hotel Bel-Air. Los Angeles’ most exclusive (and expensive) hotel also has a great restaurant, Wolfgang Puck at the Hotel Bel-Air. Then I took the LS 600 on a road trip to the Mission Inn and Spa. You can read all about my adventure and see a detailed review on the Business Traveler USA website.
