Cadillac CTS-V
Cadillac’s track-ready sports sedan boasts Lamborghini beating stats and power with four seats and a large trunk.

I’m spending a week with the awesome 2016 Cadillac CTS-V, the ground-pounding track-ready sports sedan with 640 HP and 630 LB FT of torque. Wrapped in Cadillac’s stylish body and filled with luxury amenities, the car succeeds at combining a track-ready racecar with a four-seat sports sedan comfortable for long road trips.

For the first part of my roadtrip, I took the CTS-V on the freeway to Palm Springs. Then I headed back to LA for a visit at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton, Marina Del Rey, right on the water.

It was just wonderful to have breakfast overlooking the marina, with the fresh ocean breeze and the Ritz-Carlton’s delicious, locally-sourced cuisine

The CTS-V has breathtaking performance and also allows you to arrive in style, like I did at the Ritz-Carlton, Marina Del Rey.

Kayaking in Marina Del Rey
Enjoying a peaceful kayak ride at Mother’s Beach in Marina Del Rey

While in Marina Del Rey, I did what any visitor to the marina needs to do, I got out on the water. I had a fun few hours paddling around in a kayak from Pro SUP Shop, a rental company located right on the beach.

Cracklings at Cast and Plow
I had an amazing dinner at Cast and Plow, the Ritz-Carlton’s restaurant focusing on organic, locally-sourced ingredients. These, however, are their amazing pork cracklings, served with blue cheese and sriracha sauce.
